Intro : If you have a foreign ham license, you shouldn't have any problem obtaining Gambian license. From various websites I found useful information about the Gambian license. Aneway the information on the websites are not up to date. So what you need : You require an application letter(stating dates of operation, a list of equipment with serial numbers,which will help passage thru customs) copy of your license, copy of your HAREC (this will help also),1 passport photos, a copy of your passport.The fee of 1000.Dalasi (about 30 Euro) ...will be increase in the near futere... and with that you have a license till the end of that year (31 December). The fee must be paid in Kanifing in the new GRA house ( near the footballstadion) You've been warned : When you arived on the airport the customs will see your licensedocument and also the document with all your equipment ,antennes,tx/rx,ampli etc... signed by PURA,without this document it's possible that all your equipment stay in the airport.
